Overview
FRAYT offers multiple service levels to help you balance delivery speed, scheduling flexibility, and cost.
Whether you need an immediate pickup or are planning deliveries later in the day, selecting the appropriate service level helps ensure your shipment arrives when you need it.
Available Service Levels
Rush
Rush is designed for shipments that require immediate attention.
Target service:
Pickup within approximately 60 minutes
Delivery within approximately 2 hours of requesting the delivery
Rush is best for:
Emergency shipments
Critical replacement parts
Time-sensitive documents
Urgent customer deliveries
Flex
Flex provides a balance between speed and flexibility.
Target service:
Delivery within approximately 4 hours of the requested pickup time or delivery request
Flex is ideal for:
Scheduled deliveries
Business replenishment
Retail orders
Shipments that do not require immediate pickup
End of Day (EOD)
End of Day is designed for deliveries that can be completed later in the day.
For deliveries submitted before noon, the default goal is delivery by 5:00 PM.
Orders submitted later in the day are scheduled to allow sufficient time for delivery, provided the requested delivery is more than four hours from the time the order is placed.
End of Day is often the most economical option for deliveries that do not require immediate service.
Contract Service Levels
Some customers have contract-specific service levels as part of their pricing agreement with FRAYT.
If your organization has contracted service options, those choices will appear when creating your delivery.
Scheduled Deliveries
All standard service levels can be scheduled in advance.
When scheduling a delivery, you may:
Choose a future date
Select an exact pickup time
Scheduled deliveries are ideal for recurring deliveries, appointments, and planned customer deliveries.
Routes
Routes can also be scheduled using any available service level.
The FRAYT platform automatically optimizes stop order to improve delivery efficiency. If your route requires deliveries in a specific sequence, you can arrange the stops in your preferred order before submitting the route.
Which Service Level Should I Choose?
If you need... | Recommended Service |
Immediate pickup and fastest delivery | Rush |
Same-day delivery with scheduling flexibility | Flex |
Delivery later today at the lowest urgency | End of Day |
Organization-specific service commitments | Contract Service Levels |
Good to Know
Delivery timing may be influenced by factors such as traffic, weather, market demand, or changes requested after a delivery has been submitted.
Tip
Choosing the least urgent service level that still meets your delivery needs can help improve scheduling flexibility while ensuring your shipment arrives on time.
