Delivery Statuses Explained

Statuses you can expect to see while your order progresses

Written by Zachary Hensley

Overview

As your delivery progresses, you'll see status updates within the FRAYT Shipper Portal that indicate where your shipment is in the delivery process.

Understanding these statuses can help you know what to expect from the moment your delivery is submitted until it has been completed.

Delivery Statuses

Inactive

Your delivery has been created but is not currently active.

This may occur if the delivery is scheduled for a future date and time.

Scheduled delivery placed for the future delivery date will automatically become active within 24 hours of the scheduled date.

No driver has been assigned yet.

Assigning Driver

FRAYT is actively searching for an available driver that matches your requested vehicle type and delivery requirements.

No action is required from you while a driver is being sourced.

Driver Assigned

A qualified driver has accepted your delivery.

The driver will begin traveling to the pickup location based on your requested pickup time.

En Route to Pickup

The assigned driver is traveling to the pickup location.

You can monitor their progress through live tracking.

Arrived at Pickup

The driver has arrived at the pickup location and is waiting to receive the shipment.

If loading assistance has been requested, it will occur at this stage.

Picked Up

Your shipment has been loaded and the driver is now traveling to the delivery location.

Live tracking and estimated arrival times continue to update throughout transit.

En Route to Drop Off

The shipment is actively in transit to its destination.

The tracking page will continue updating the driver's location and estimated arrival time.

Arrived at Drop Off

The driver has arrived at the delivery location and is completing the delivery.

This may include unloading, obtaining a signature, or capturing proof of delivery.

Signed

The shipment has been received and the required signature has been collected.

Depending on your delivery requirements, this may be the final confirmation before completion.

Completed

The delivery has been successfully completed.

Proof of Delivery, including any available signatures or photos, can now be viewed within the delivery details.

Returned

The shipment was returned rather than delivered.

Returns may occur if delivery cannot be completed or if a return service has been requested.

If you have questions regarding a returned shipment, please contact Support.

Canceled

The delivery has been canceled and will no longer be completed.

If you need to create a replacement delivery, you can duplicate a previous delivery from its delivery details page.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is my delivery still showing "Assigning Driver"?

Driver assignment depends on factors such as vehicle availability, market demand, delivery location, and requested service level.

FRAYT continues searching until a qualified driver accepts the delivery.

Why did my ETA change?

Estimated arrival times are automatically recalculated throughout the delivery based on updated driver location information and current travel conditions.

Traffic, weather, road closures, or unexpected delays may cause the ETA to change.

When can I view Proof of Delivery?

Proof of Delivery becomes available after it has been uploaded to the completed delivery.

Depending on the delivery, this may include a recipient signature, photos, recipient name, or other confirmation details.

Good to Know

Status updates occur automatically throughout the delivery lifecycle. Refreshing the page is typically unnecessary, as the tracking page updates automatically.

Tip
